PRE-1965 ROOSEVENT DIMES (MINTED 1946-1964)
The obverse of this coin features the head in profile of Franklin D. Roosevelt, the only president of the United States who was elected four terms,and the reverse contains an olive branch, torch, and an oak branch that symbolize respectively, liberty, peace, and strength.


MERCURY DIMES (MINTED 1916-1945)
The Mercury dime is also referred to as the Winged Liberty Head dime as the coin's obverse depicts a young Liberty with winged Phrygian cap.  The coin's reverse shows a bundle of rods, with battle-ax, known as "Fasces" symbolizing unity and strength, and a full-foliage olive branch signifying peace.  


BARBER DIMES (MINTED 1892-1916)
The coin's obverse features the classic design of Lady Liberty wearing a Phrygian cap as designed by Charles E. Barber. The reverse shows the face value of the coin surrounded by a wreath.


PRE-1965 WASHINGTON QUARTERS (MINTED 1932-1964)
The 90% Silver Washington Quarter is designed by sculptor John Flanagan. Its obverse side features the profile of George Washington with the word "Liberty" inscribed above the head, the date below, and "In God We Trust" in the left field, and the reverse features a bald eagle with spread wings perched on a bundle of arrows with two olive branches underneath. The word above the eagle is "United States of America and below is "Quarter Dollar."


STANDING LIBERTY QUARTERS (MINTED 1916-1930)
Designed by Hermon MacNeil, the obverse side of the coin depicts a militaristic Lady Liberty walking through a gate, holding an olive branch and a shield and the reverse features a flying eagle.


BARBER QUARTERS (MINTED 1892-1916)
The coin's obverse side features the head of Liberty, facing right, wearing a pileus, a crown fashioned from an olive branch, and a small headband inscribed with the word "Liberty" and she is encircled by the motto "In God We Trust" above her head, th-pointed stars on the sides, and the date below. On the reverse side is a heraldic eagle holding a scroll inscribed "E Pluribus Unum" in its beak, an olive branch in its right claw and 13 arrows in its left claw.


PRE-1965 JFK HALF DOLLARS (MINTED 1964)
The obverse side shows the image of John F. Kennedy as rendered by Gilroy Roberts with the datow the image. The reverse side shows the Great Seal of the United States with the face value "Half Dollar" below and "United States of America" above.


FRANKLIN HALF DOLLARS (MINTED 1948-1963)
John Sinnock's design of Benjamin Franklin is seen on the obverse side of the coin together with the words "Liberty" on top and "In God We Trust" below. On the reverse side is depicted the Liberty Bell with a small eagle to the right in fulfillment of the requirement that half dollars should depict an eagle.


WALKING LIBERTY HALF DOLLARS (MINTED 1916-1947)
The obverse side is the classic design of Lady Liberty draped in an American flag, carrying branches of laurel and oak that symbolize both civil and military glory as designed by Adolph A. Weinman. The reverse shows an eagle perched on a rock with his wings spread in preparation for flight, and the words "United States of America" above and the face value of the coin below.


BARBER HALF DOLLARS (MINTED 1892-1915)
On tne obverse is Charles E. Barber's classic design of Lady Liberty wearing a Phrygian cap and the reverse side shows an eagle with outstretched wings with a shield on its breast.

We ship to the United States and select international countries. Great American Coin will review all international shipments individually, and reserves the right to cancel any transaction at our sole discretion based upon location or for any other reason. Insurance and/or tracking is available for international shipments, however, it is generally cost prohibitive. Insurance and/or tracking may be included in international shipments at buyers expense.

Great American Coin ships most orders within 0-3 business. Under rare circumstances packages may be held longer. Wire transfers require a 2-4 -day hold time prior to shipment. Customers will be contacted if packages are held longer than 3 business days. Please be advised that if we require a drivers license or other ID prior to shipment the 0-3 business day shipping window will begin upon receipt of requested information.
