1876-CC TWENTY CENT PIECE
A genuine 1876-CC Twenty Cent Piece in similar proof condition would be appraised at over $1,500,000.
This coin is an enlarged BU representation of the original, and is approximately 31.8 mm in diameter (similar to a Morgan Silver Dollar). This short lived coin was authorized by the Act of March 3, 1875. Soon after the appearance of the first 20c Pieces, people complained about the similarity in design and size to the quarter dollar. The eagle on the reverse is very similar to that used on the Trade Dollar, while the edging on the coin is plain.
