Customer Privacy

We are committed to preserving the trust of our visitors through our online business practices. The Great American Coin Company will never willfully sell, trade, rent, or otherwise transmit any personally identifiable information about customers to any third party. Personal information such as email addresses and the like, and any other information collected by the Great American Coin Company, will never be shared with anyone or any other group or organization. Any and all information collected will be treated with the utmost confidentiality. We respect your privacy at all times.

Customer Security

Protecting our customers' confidential information is a priority for us. When you place an order online with the Great American Coin Company, we collect your name, contact information, billing address and shipping addresses, credit card information, and email address, which are transferred using state-of-the-art "Secure Socket Layer" (SSL) technology.

This information is encrypted and is not accessible to anyone else online. Your credit card's security code is never stored in our database. We use this information to fulfill your order and to communicate with you. Your order is then processed internally. No outside our company will have access to your information. We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to others. By using our Web site, you consent to the collection and use of this information by us for processing and shipping purposes only.

When paying by Money Orders, Cashiers Checks, or Personal Checks, you must e-mail in your order to Sales@greatamericancoincompany.com. In addition, personal checks may take up to five business days before clearance and order shipment. All prices listed are in U.S. dollars. If items you order are out of stock or unavailable, we will notify you by phone and/or email, and your payment will not be processed.

Transaction Cancellation and Fraud Protection

In order to protect against fraud, the Great American Coin Company reserves the right to cancel any transaction. In the event your transaction is cancelled for any reason, 100% of your payment will be refunded immediately.

Sales Tax

We are required to collect sales tax on all orders being shipped to customers in California. This tax is calculated on the total of merchandise and any applicable shipping/handling charges.

Sale of Reproduction Coins

The Great American Coin Company sells reproductions, replicas, or copies of Unites States Mint coins. All our reproduction/replica/copy coins are stamped with the word 'COPY' on the reverse, and thus comply with the United States Hobby Protection Act - 15USC-2101, regarding reproduction currency. The pertinent sections of the Hobby Protection Act are included as a link on our home page. Sections related to political material have been omitted.

Genuine U.S. Coins, Graded or Slabbed U.S. Coins

Genuine U.S. Coins, and graded and slabbed coins are non-returnable and non-refundable.  In order to mitigate fraud, all buyers billing address and shipping address must match. In addition, buyers must have an accurate and active phone number and e-mail address.

Bulk Sales

Bulk sales consist of 10 or more of an individual coin. Not all coins are available for bulk pricing. Bulk pricing is generally updated monthly. However, bulk pricing and coin availability may change without notice. Minimum bulk sales amount is $100. In order to be eligible for bulk purchases, buyers may be required to provide type of business and intended use. The Great American Coin Company reserves the right to cancel bulk sales to any buyer. BULK SALES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE

Shipping and Handling Charges

We ship to North and South America, Europe, South Africa, Israel, Australia, Japan, and South Korea. Shipping within the United States may include insurance upon request of the buyer. Insurance may be included with shipment at buyers expense. Insurance and/or tracking is available for international shipments, however, it is generally cost prohibitive. Insurance and/or tracking may be included in international shipments at buyers expense.

Returns and Exchanges

If you need to return or exchange an item, please follow these instructions:

E-mail Sales@greatamericancoincompany.com to request a return authorization number.

You will receive your return authorization number via email within 12-24 hours.

Returns must be made within 7 days from the date of receipt.

Make sure your name, address and return authorization number are stated clearly on the return address portion of the package, and please include a copy of your shipping invoice.

If you ship from a mailing center, they typically use their address, so be sure to request that your address be featured.

There are no returns, exchanges, or refunds on genuine United States coins, unsearched lots of coins and gems, or slabbed/professionally graded coins.

You will be refunded for the entire cost of the product excluding all shipping costs. Return shipping is at your expense. You will be notified by email when we receive your return and the amount refunded.

Damaged/Defective Merchandise

Please inspect all cartons upon receipt. Do not sign for cartons or products delivered damaged. E-mail Sales@greatamericancoincompany.com immediately to report a damaged item. We will replace an item damaged in shipping or an item received defective. No returns are accepted more than 14 days after receipt.
